The speaker is Dr. Nicanor Restrepo, who was born in Medellín, is engineering manager of the School of Mines, Masters in Sociology and a doctorate (Ph D) in Political Sociology of the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris - EHESS . Former President of South American
Investment (1984-2004), of Corfinsura and former governor of Antioquia (1983-1984). Former Chairman of the Boards of Argos, Nacional de Chocolates, Bancolombia, Colombia Inversura and Smurfit Carton.
currently serves on the boards of Smurfit Kappa Group (Dublin), Sofasa, Success, and Carvajal Conconcreto International. Additionally, a member of Superior Council of the University Eafit, the Board of Directors General of Antioquia School of Engineering, Chairman of the Board of Proantioquia and board members of various NGOs.
has served on several international boards such as IBM (LA), Deutsche Bank (LA), Bladex, Ceal and Association de Genève. He has received several awards from Colombia, France, Italy and Poland.

The aim of this conference is to clarify and update concepts as sustainability, social competitiveness, private donations and responsibility to the whole environment that surrounds us.

Gabriel Jaime Rico is social communicator and journalist at the University of Antioquia, Specialist in Management of the Unit, Specialist in Public Governance at the University of Medellín and MA in development of the UPB. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University Iberoamerican King Juan Carlos of Spain. Is author of The Medellin dream has been Metroalarmas Commercial Manager, Councilman and candidate for mayor of Medellin. Noted for the Junior Chamber International as Executive Young Antioquia in 2003. He is currently CEO of the company's Call Center SA, awarded as the best center in the country contacts in Colombia and member of the International Marketing and Urban Development. Alejandro Uribe is a professor at the University of Antioquia, worked at the Institute of Philosophy and is currently at the School of Communications at the undergraduate de Letras: Philology and Communications. Member of Teaching Research Group and New Technologies, with whom he has developed a variety of learning objects for the Virtual Classroom portal Colombia in the area of \u200b\u200bScience Social, and has been a teacher trainer and online tutor training in national processes such as: Teaching Models Supported on ICT and media, and the National Literacy Campaign Digital A lame you mouse!

The SOFOS group is pleased to invite you to the next conference of Colombian problems seminar CONTEMPORARY, Whither Colombian society?, which bears the title "Environment and environmental crises go changing political systems?".

analyze the problem of the environmental crisis and possible scenarios of power and how power targets greater control of natural resources. This assumes a centralized scheduler, which is not identified with any of the current strata of political decision.

This conference will be held on Saturday July 24 and will be headed by Dr. Agueda Torres who is a lawyer, a specialist in Administrative Procedure Law, Master of Education and Human Development, Faculty of Administrative Procedural Law courses, Introduction to Law Environment, Research Methodology and Epistemology of Law, Formative Research, Advisory undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Antioquia and the University of Santo Tomas Medellín.-2010.
