Thought, word and deed in the culture of illegality, part of the cycle Reflections on the illegal and illicit in our culture. In this session we aim to unravel the series of actions or omissions from different sectors conducive to the development, maintenance and perpetuation of a culture of illegality. The guest is Christopher Peláez González, founder in 1979 and director of Matacandelas Theater Collective, with whom he made 40 Mounts and about 5 000 performances in countries like Colombia and Venezuela, Guatemala, France, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Ecuador and Cuba. From 18 years old, he started directing and acting in youth theater groups. In 1975 he went to Spain where he spent three years doing research and observational work. He was an actor in the theater stairs and the International Group under the direction of Venezuelan Jose Salas. He has taught workshops and seminars on theatrical drama and staged in several cities has given seminars at the National School of Drama, ENAD in Bogota. In 1996 he received the National Theatre Festival in Cali, as playwright and director of the play Angels Mired. He has participated as a juror in the Ministry of Culture National Scholarships, Grants District Institute of Culture building in Bogota, the National Awards for Playwriting from the University of Antioquia, among others. Among his productions with the Theatre Matacandelas are: The Fall of the House of Usher - Evening of Edgar A. Gothic I Poe, Fernando González - Evening Metaphysics, The Fairy and the postman, Night Games 2, Lucius Annaeus Seneca Medea, The Blind by Maurice Maeterlinck, The Girl Who Wanted To Be God (Collective Creation) on Sylvia Plath, The Beautiful Days Samuel Beckett, Diplomas and Andres Caicedo Mired Angels, Night Games by Jean Tardieu, O Marinheiro of Fernando Pessoa, Pinocchio, Fiesta and HehiZerias.
