Today's practice consists of two parts: rss aggregation and analysis
a multimedia project. Aggregation

  • RSS: What is the aggregation of RSS?



    • How to get started with RSS? First we will see some examples:

      • Google Reader from your Gmail account.

      • Use the "Add a subscription" to subscribe to RSS feeds.

      • both blogs - Google Blogsearch -like news - Google News - that are interesting to the topic you write on the group blog and subscribe to them.

      • Add to your personal blog practices a gadget of your shared items:

        - Sign in to Your Stuff Google Reader / Shared Items / link
        to sharing settings.

        - Select shared files should be public / Click on "Add clip to your site, copy the code and build the gadget. Indicates

      • in comments to this post the URL of your public page Google Reader (Settings / Folders and Labels / Your shared items / View public page) and the URL of your personal blog where you can see the widget you've inserted with your shared items.

  • multimedia projects (COMM 2009/10)
    • Explore the following projects and choose one of them: Be

    • a post on your personal blog analysis the selected project,
      answering the following questions: What
      • reporting formats have been used in each section (text, hypertext, images, audio, video)?
      • What other resources, such as timelines, maps, computer graphics, photo gallery and videos, etc. have been used?
      • How can users participate? What kind of interactivity and navigation mechanisms are provided?
      • How is the content updated?
      • Does the project include social media resources (web 2.0)? What and what is its purpose?
      • "Personally, do you think the project?
      • What are the next two to analyze and why? Join
      • presentation with screenshots of the project to analyze.
